If you want to add veggies to this, I suggest stir frying them separately and adding them before you cook the egg.

On a side note, cooking a few strips of bacon and chopping them up and using that as the meat instead of the beef works very well. The saltiness of the pork will allow you to use less soy if you want, and the rice just generally tastes fantastic if you fry it in some of the leftover bacon grease as apposed to the peanut oil.

Dunno wtf I was thinking when I said add a 1/4 cup of soy, that's overkill. Start at 1/8th and work your way up.

What the fuck? Brown rice? I cook fried rice in a stainless steel frying pan, routinely, like twice a week because I'm poor atm. Never in my life would, or have I used brown rice. I just cook white, long grain rice in a rice cooker with slightly less water, stir it and bang it in.
